Find and Run Robot

FARR’s main purpose is to help you quickly and efficiently access applications and files. It does this by listing the applications/files you recently accessed on its interface and by searching for applications/files as you type. Say you want to launch the Firefox browser; type “firefox” into the FARR search box and the application will find and launch the application for you.

The FARR installation file is about 6MB in size. Download this file, run it, and you will be presented with a setup wizard that will guide you through the installation process. There’s nothing complicated about the whole thing; a few clicks later you will be done and ready to start using the application.

There are two sections on the program's interface which shows up when you press the assigned hotkey – the default one is Break; from the Options menu, the Hotkeys submenu, you can change it to something else if you want to. At the top there’s the search box you can use to find and launch applications and files; below it the application lists the applications and files you recently accessed. So if you launch Firefox, Chrome, and CCleaner, these applications will be listed on the interface.

Using FARR is an incredibly straightforward process: as you start typing in an application’s name, FARR will start searching for that application; the list of results narrows down the more letters you type in. From the list of results you can easily launch the application you are searching for.

Alternatively, you can access an application or file from the list of recently launched programs/files. As mentioned above, FARR presents such a list underneath the search box.
